Jessica Yu, DDS:

Dr. Yu is a Michigan native, born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. She studied at the University of Michigan and worked in clinical research for several years following graduation, focusing on pediatric diabetes and hematology/oncology. She saw the wide disparity present in oral healthcare and decided to return to school to help make dental care more accessible to all. After graduating from her alma mater with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, she pursued further training in hospital dentistry through a general practice residency (GPR) at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. Yu believes that quality dentistry and clinical excellence are achieved by the trust built between her and her patients, which she strives to do through education and compassion. She is excited to incorporate digital dentistry into her treatment and regularly takes continuing education courses. Outside of work, she enjoys boxing, taking road trips, and catching up with friends over coffee.
